Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
Visa365 keeps track of the days you spend in each country so you can stay within visa and stay limits. Your travel history is the most personal thing it handles, so the app is built so that I never see it.
This policy covers the Visa365 app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, and this website (visa365.app). Visa365 is made by Jamie Lollback (“I”, “me”, “my”), an independent developer in Australia. I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place with its own data protection law, you also have the rights that law gives you.
The short version: I don’t sell your data or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. Your location and travel history are never shared with advertisers or anyone else.
Your travel history stays yours
The days and countries Visa365 logs, your stay limits and trips, and the passports you add are stored on your device and synced through your own private iCloud account, so they appear on your other devices, widgets and Apple Watch. Apple holds this data under its privacy policy. I have no access to it unless you choose to send me part of it in a support email (see Support emails), and it is never sent to my servers, to analytics, or to advertisers. If you export your travel history, the file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to share it.
Location
With your permission, Visa365 uses your device’s location, including in the background, to work out which country you are in each day. Your precise location stays on your device. To turn it into a country, the app asks Apple’s map service (which handles the request under Apple’s privacy policy) or checks country borders built into the app, and then keeps only the country and the date. I never receive your location. You can change or turn off location access at any time in iOS Settings and add days by hand instead.
Calendar and reminders
If you ask, Visa365 adds reminders to your calendar. It can only add events and never reads your calendar. Limit alerts are scheduled on your device.
Optional account
You can use Visa365 without an account. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, Google Firebase Authentication stores your name (if you share it), your email address (which can be an Apple private-relay address) and an account ID, so you can sign in on your other devices. Your travel history is not stored in your account; it stays in your iCloud. You can delete your account at any time (see Deleting your account).
Analytics and crash reports
Visa365 uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used: for example, which screens are opened, whether setup was finished, which kind of limit was set up, and when a free trial or subscription starts (plan, price and currency). Events can include the country code of a limit you set up (such as “TH” or “Schengen”), but never the countries you have actually been in, your location, or your travel dates. Google also estimates a rough region from your IP address.
This data is tied only to a random ID for your installation of the app. It is never linked to your name, email or account, and I don’t use Google signals or link it to Google Ads. I may use these anonymous groups to decide which notifications to send (for example, a tip for people who track a Schengen limit).
Crash reports are sent automatically through Firebase Crashlytics. They contain technical details such as the device model, iOS version and what the app was doing when it crashed, and no personal information.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging gives your device a notification token so I can send you notifications, such as reminders and news about the app. The token is not linked to your name or account.
Advertising measurement (Meta)
I advertise Visa365 on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To learn whether those ads work, the app includes Meta’s SDK, which sends Meta only these events: that the app was installed or opened, that an account was created, and that a free trial or subscription started (with the plan’s price and currency). They come with basic device details (such as model, iOS version, language and time zone) and an anonymous ID that Meta creates for this installation. Meta never receives your location, the countries you have visited, your travel history, your limits, your name or your email. Visa365 never asks for permission to track you, so Meta does not get your device’s advertising identifier, and I don’t build ad audiences from your data.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and handled by Apple, and I never see your payment details. The plan, price and currency of a trial or subscription are recorded in analytics and sent to Meta as described above.
Support emails
If you contact support from the app (Settings → Help → Contact Support), the email automatically includes a diagnostics file so I can answer you properly. It contains the app’s settings (app, device, permission and subscription settings), the result of each of your limits, and your days from the last 180 days as dates and country codes. It never includes your exact locations, and the file has no names, email addresses or account IDs. The file is attached to the email where you can see it before sending, and nothing is sent unless you send the email. I use what you send only to answer you.
Visa information
The app downloads general visa rules from my Firebase database. These requests don’t include your travel history, your location or your account.
This website
visa365.app uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful: for example, which pages are viewed, how far they are scrolled, which links are clicked (such as the App Store button), and a rough location that Google estimates from your IP address. It uses cookies for this. Visitors aren’t identified by name, the data isn’t linked to the app, and I don’t use Google signals, Google Ads or advertising cookies. Website analytics data is kept for 14 months. If you are in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, these cookies are only used if you allow them. You can change your choice at any time in cookie settings.
Like any website, its hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.
If you use the contact form, your name, email address, topic and message are sent to me by email through Web3Forms, which delivers the form. To block spam, the contact page uses hCaptcha, which collects information about your browser and how you interact with the page, and may set a cookie, to check you’re a person. If you email me, or write through the form, I use your message and email address only to reply.
How long data is kept
- Travel history (on your device and in your iCloud): until you delete it
- Account: until you delete it; Google then removes it from its systems within 180 days
- Analytics: 14 months; after that only totals remain
- Crash reports: 90 days
- Notification token: until you uninstall the app, delete your data, or the token expires
- Meta events: according to Meta’s own data policy
Deleting your account and data
Deleting your account
Signing in with Apple or Google is optional, and the app works fully without an account. If you did sign in, you can delete your account in the app at Settings → Account → Delete Account. You then choose:
- Delete Account deletes your sign-in account (Google Firebase Authentication). Your travel history stays in your iCloud.
- Delete Account and All My Data deletes your account and also every day, limit, trip and passport from this device and from iCloud on all your devices. This can’t be undone.
If you signed in with Apple, the app asks Apple to confirm it’s you and then revokes Visa365’s access to your Apple ID. If you signed in with Google, it disconnects Visa365 from your Google account. You can also remove Visa365 yourself: in iOS Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple, or on your Google account’s third-party connections page. Google removes a deleted account from its systems within 180 days.
Deleting your data
- Settings → Your Data → Delete All My Data is available to everyone, with or without an account. It removes every day, limit, trip and passport from this device and from iCloud on all your devices, and resets the app’s analytics ID and notification token. This can’t be undone.
- Uninstalling the app does not remove the copy in your iCloud, so use Delete All My Data first if you want it gone.
- Deleting your account or your data does not cancel your subscription, which Apple manages. You can cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Apart from your account, I don’t keep data about you on my servers: your travel history lives only in your private iCloud database. Analytics and crash data are not linked to your name, so I can’t look up one person’s records; they expire on the schedule above.
- If you can’t use the app to delete your account or data (for example, you no longer have your device), email support@visa365.app and I’ll help.
Service providers
These providers process limited data on my behalf, each under its own privacy policy. Like any online service, they can see your device’s IP address when the app connects to them.
- Apple: App Store and in-app purchases, iCloud sync, Sign in with Apple, and Apple’s map service to look up which country a location is in. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Firebase and Google Sign-In: Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging (notifications), Authentication (optional account) and Cloud Firestore (visa information). See the Firebase Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics (this website): counting visits, as described in “This website” above.
- Web3Forms and hCaptcha (this website’s contact form): delivering your message and blocking spam.
- Meta: measuring whether ads lead to installs, trials and subscriptions. See Meta’s Privacy Policy.
Legal bases and overseas handling
If you are in the EU, the UK or a place with similar laws: I use your account and purchase details to provide the app you asked for; analytics, crash reports and ad measurement because I have a legitimate interest in keeping the app working and knowing whether my ads work, without tracking you; and location, notifications and calendar access only with your permission, which you can withdraw in iOS Settings at any time.
Google, Meta and Apple may process data in the United States and other countries. They protect it with safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For Australian users, this cross-border disclosure is relevant to Australian Privacy Principle 8.
Security
Data on your device is protected by your device’s built-in security (such as encryption and screen lock), and data sent to service providers is encrypted in transit.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct your personal data
- Delete your account and data, using the in-app options above
- Export your travel history from the app
- Object to or restrict how I use your data
- Withdraw permissions you have granted (such as location, calendar, notifications or Google sign-in) at any time in your device or account settings
- Opt out of sharing Apple’s crash reports with developers in your device settings
To make a request, email me at the address below; I will respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with my response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or to the data protection authority where you live.
Children’s privacy
Visa365 is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe I have collected information from a child, please contact me immediately.
Changes to this policy
I may update this privacy policy from time to time. I will post the new policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of Visa365 after changes means you accept the updated policy.
